About Us
Brief History
Valley Day has served the community since it was founded by the late Eugene and Martha Holder in 1979. In 1996, Jan Morash took over as the owner and Principal leading the school with dedication until her retirement in 2020. Ramona Ramlall is now the proprietor and principal continuing the school's mission to inspire lifelong learning, nurture inclusivity and empower students to reach their fullest potential in a supportive and caring environment.

Our mission is to nurture each child holistically by fostering a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. We aim to provide a solid foundation and implement practices that encourage each child to be independent, responsible and value-driven lifelong learners.

We are a full Elementary School (Grades K-6). By working in small groups, we are able to create and maintain an environment that recognizes, addresses, respects, and promotes the individuality of our students. Just as their learning styles, capabilities and rate of progress vary, so do our teaching methods, pacing and use of materials. Our students learn to push themselves, support each other and work side by side to meet personal challenges and goals in an atmosphere of tolerance and open-minded acceptance.
